We receive instrument donations from all 50 states and even from around the world!
We can accept all musical instruments except for acoustic pianos (upright/grand) and spinet organs. We also accept professional audio, amps, and sound equipment. Click to pledge an instrument for donation.
Donations are tax deductible to the extent of current tax law. Your donations will be utilized where and how it will make the greatest impact to our programs and mission.

Nothing brings joy like the moment a child receives their first musical instrument. The Gift of Music Foundation’s primary mission is to ensure any child who wants to learn music has the chance without financial barriers.
GETTING INSTRUMENTS TO US
- If you’re in the Metro Atlanta area, you may drop off your instrument(s) or request pickup. Instruments can be dropped off at our donation center Monday–Friday from 9a–5p. We are located at 2030 Powers Ferry Rd SE, Suite 390, Atlanta, GA 30339
- Ship to us, you pay charges: Choose any trackable method of shipping and pay the cost to ship. Whenever possible, this helps us keep our expenses lower meaning we can help more musicians!
- Ship to us, we pay charges: We are also happy to pay for shipping upon request. Select the “Will ship (Gift of Music Pays)” option. There are a number of easy pre-paid options available from UPS, FedEx, and USPS
INSTRUMENTS WE ACCEPT
- All Woodwind Instruments including piccolo, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone (any), oboe, bassoon.
- All Symphonic or Marching Brass Instruments including trumpet, mellophone, french horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, sousaphone.
- All Symphonic, Acoustic, or Electric String Instruments including guitars, bass, banjo, violin, viola, cello, double bass.
- All Symphonic or Marching Percussion including snare, bass, tenors, cymbals, drums sets, bell kits, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, etc.
- Professional Level Keyboards, Electronic Pianos, Synthesizers, and Accessories including PA, Mixing, Recording, Amps, etc.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT
- Acoustic Grand or Upright Pianos of any size or condition. However, we do have a partner organization that we recommend. CLICK HERE to access their website.
- Home or Professional-grade Organs of any type. We can occasionally make an exception for Hammond stage organs, depending on condition and location.
- Bag Pipes and Accordions.
- Any “Novelty” Instrument
- Any Instrument that is in extremely poor condition and not able to be repaired.
