The Gift of Music Foundation is excited to announce a new gala event for the metro Atlanta area: The Gift of Music Honors. This evening gala will bring recognition to the amazing contributions of individuals who have dedicate their lives to the advancement of music. The event is Saturday March 10th, 6:30pm at the Travis Duke Ballroom located at The Mansour Center in Marietta, GA.
At this year’s Honors, we will proudly present “The Crystal Baton Award” to Mr. Gary Gribble, long-time director of bands at Marietta’s Pope High School. Throughout his illustrious career, Gary has not only mentored and taught thousands of students in making beautiful music but has also changed many lives along the way. His innovation in student leadership training, groundbreaking technique in teaching marching band, and resume of successful bands for decades has inspired students, families, and our own local community. One of the greatest testimonies to Gary’s impact is the number of former students who have gone on to become successful music educators themselves. Gary is a conductor of a true symphony of people who have grown because of his influence, and the Crystal Baton is indicative of that lifetime of leadership.
Tickets for The Gift of Music Honors are priced $75 which includes a plated dinner. A cash bar will also be available at the event. The gala will also feature an array of amazing prize packages that will be given away in a special drawing. Tickets for the giveaway are available in advance, as well as at the event.
