Kerren Berz’s talents span the musical spectrum. Currently Concertmaster of the Columbus (GA) Symphony Orchestra, she has performed, recorded, and toured with the Atlanta Symphony and the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, whose “music without boundaries” mission produced critically acclaimed recordings of music by Aaron Copland, Conni Ellisor, and Jay Ungar, among others.

As a well respected pop music performer/arranger, Kerren is featured on albums by Outkast, Pink, Sinead O’Connor, Goodie Mob, Diane Durrett, Joey Sommerville, and the smash hit “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child. In live performances, she has shared the stage with musical legends, including The Eagles, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, Smokey Robinson, Mary J. Blige, Tony Bennett, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Johnny Cash, and Ray Charles.

Kerren’s multi-genre string ensemble Sonic Essence plays concerts and special occasions throughout the year. She maintains a private violin studio and has helped hundreds of strings students in classrooms, sectionals, and master classes to learn technique, prepare for concerts and auditions, and attain their personal best.
